Change of Leadership

January 7 2019:  the Nigerian Ministry of Defence Health Implementation Programme (MOD HIP), the Program partner of the US Army Medical Research Directorate-Africa/Nigeria (USAMRD-A/N) has transitioned its leadership from the former Director-General, Brigadier General Nurudeen Hussain to a new, Brigadier General Nathan Okeji.  General Okeji has worked with the Program at various Program sites and in different capacities.  He is a Chief Obstertrician and Gynecologist and a fellow of several medical and science institutions.  Before taking over the mantle of leadership at MODHIP, he was the Commander of 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Kaduna (NARHK).
